Covers woven in the state of Chiapas by a group of 25 women. The cotton yarn is woven on a backstrap loom, made of wood. Once the background, which is white cotton yarn, is set up, the weaving begins. The women tie the loom around their waist and at the end tie it to a tree to weave the background and the figures. Afterwards, they are cut and knotted one by one. The entire process is done by hand, and often two different artisans are involved, one weaves and the other knots.
